Jade, studio owner and Pilates teacher
Jade trained as a professional dancer and Pilates teacher at the world class music and dance conservatoire Trinity Laban. Jade has been practising Pilates since 1996 and certified in both mat and equipment based Pilates with the Pilates Foundation in 2001.
Jade was the Manager of Laban Pilates, the largest Pilates studio in the UK for four years and led a team of sixteen elite Pilates teachers. During this time Jade organised workshops with many international somatic movement practitioners including training in developmental movement patterning, movement analysis and experiential anatomy.
Jade has been an examiner for Pilates teacher training programmes at Laban and the University of East London. Jade assisted on the Laban Pilates Teacher Training programme by running the trainee teaching practice.
Jade helped carry out research in core stability and balance for Trinity Laban's pioneering screening programme run by Laban's Dance Science team. She was component leader and teacher of Pilates and Pilates in to Ballet on the BA(HONS)Dance Theatre programme.
For nine years Jade was a senior Pilates teacher at Laban and was the lead remedial Pilates teacher for all the Laban dance programmes, working alongside the senior physiotherapist.
In 2012 Jade launched her own business and opened the purpose built jadepilates well-being studio in in 2015.
She specialises in tailoring Pilates to her clients' needs. She uses her skills in assisting with injury rehabilitation to help people recover from pain and move with greater ease and confidence. Having worked for many years with professional dancers she can also deliver an an advanced and challenging workout.
Since the birth of her first daughter in 2011, Jade has been training as a Womens' Health specialist with the Founder of The Center For Womens' Fitness, Carolyne Anthony. Jade has completed certificates in Pelvic Floor Health, Diastasis Recti Recovery, Fascial Release, Menopause and has extended her existing qualifications in pre and postnatal Pilates.
